Thirty people have been injured in Kano, during an encounter with security agents, LEADERSHIP gathered.
There was a massive turnout of protesters in the ancient city.
Our correspondent reports that there were sporadic gunshots around the Kano State Government House, which left thirty persons injured. None has been confirmed dead.
It was gathered that eighteen out of the 30, had gunshot wounds. All the victims were moved to the Murtala Mohammed General Hospital, while one critically injured person was transferred to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
Protesters decried the incident, maintaining that it was unprovoked. They expressed determination to continue marching.
