Labour leaders in Kano on Friday, suspended protests on Day five of the strike to enable Muslims attend the Jumu'at prayer without distraction.
The suspension, according to labour leaders will also enable residents visit those who sustained injuries, as well as the families of those who lost their lives.
Meanwhile, Governor Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso has appealed for calm.
He called on community and religious leaders to set youths straight, to avoid destruction of public properties.
