The Bauchi State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC), has expressed dismay over the sudden suspension of the nationwide strike against the removal of fuel subsidy describing it as an embarrassment.???
The state Labour chairman, Comrade Hashimu Gital, disclosed this to newsmen in a telephone interview shortly after the announcement of the of the strike suspension following the decision of the Federal Government to reduce the fuel price to N97.
The NLC Chairman said “We were shocked over the decision of the national body to suspend the ongoing strike without necessarily meeting the objective which is the reversal to the old fuel pump price at N65 per litre.” “We just hard the suspension of the strike when we were going round some filling stations to ensure the total compliance of the strike action in Bauchi.
