A journalist with Highland FM, Federal Radio Nigeria Corporation (FRCN),? Jos, Mr. Nansoh Silas, was found dead along Zaramagada-Rayfield Road in Jos, the Plateau State capital yesterday.
The remains of the journalist were said to have been discovered by a passerby in a swampy area by the roadside, as early as 6 am but his body was fresh except for a small wound on his head.
Sources say the journalist may? have been attacked by unknown assailants suspected to have been trailing him.
Though the cause of his death was yet to be ascertained as at press time, some officials of the radio station who confirmed the incident? however could not give? details of his death.?

The remains of the deceased has in the meantime been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) mortuary while the details of the burial arrangements was yet to be made public by the family.
One of the colleagues of the deceased at the radio station, Miss Joy Zwalde,?? said the death of?? Silas had created a very big vacuum in the station that could not be filled? in a hurry. She described the deceased as a very hard working colleague who was dedicated to his work, saying that he would be greatly missed.
The deceased, who graduated from the University of Jos with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language,??? hailed from Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
