The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCMA) is set to? partner with other international businesses and countries? for the Annual International Trade Fair set to hold from Friday, February 24 to March 4,2012
President of the Chamber, Umar Yahaya, revealed this when he led a high level delegation of the Chamber’s council to visit the LEADERSHIP newspaper group in its offices yesterday as part of preparations towards the coming fair with the Theme: Reawakening Nigerian Enterprises towards Global Competiveness.
According to him, irrespective of security challenges in the country, the chamber which is a non partisan, non political and non religious group after much deliberation with other council members? is set to hold its? annual fair. This, he said was part efforts towards foreign partnership? investments aimed alleviating unemployment? and poverty eradication in the? state.
Director General of the Chamber, Usman G Sanlawa, assured that three registration centres have been opened with two centres in Lagos and one in Kaduna. He gave asstance for the security of lives and property during the event both within and surrounding area of the? venue.
The President Lamented the abandoned Kaduna Textiles Village, describing it “As a shame that it had been left to decay, with its potential capacity to employ over half a million indigenes” and also called on the President and his cabinet who have tasted the cassava bread to also endeavour to wear made in Nigeria textiles and Aba made shoes every two weeks of the Councils meeting”
The Chamber while appealing to the management of the paper to despite competing news worthy events partner with the chamber towards? appropriately? covering the events of the fair towards economic development,? also commended the efforts? of LEADERSHIP Newspaper? in forging the unity of the country.
