Men of the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) of Lagos State Police Command have arrested two men who were alleged to be involved in armed robbery.
Parading the robbers at the headquarters of the State command, Officer-in Charge of SARS in Lagos, Mr. Abba Kyari (a Superintendent of Police) said the two men; Abya Cheshe and Igpa Isaac were arrested alongside other suspects picked up in different locations across the state.
Addressing newsmen, Kyari said the two were arrested at different locations in the state through a tip off from people who? suspected their involvement in different robbery incidents in Langbasa area of Lekki.
Recovered from the robbers were pistols and rifles as well as other kinds of life ammunitions.
Kyari revealed that his men had been on their trail? to ascertain their level of involvement in the series of robbery attacks in the area before finally moving in to apprehend them.
“There was an operation in Langbasa area in which a security guard was the only suspect, from our investigation conducted by our men, we made a breakthrough with the house maid who confessed that one of the arrested robbers fell in love with her and she gave her his phone number.
