Alhaji Arzika Tureta, the Director-General, Wamakko/Shagari Campaign Organisation, has called on PDP supporters in Sokoto state to work for the victory of the party in the forthcoming governorship election.
Tureta said, “We should collectively work toward promoting the lofty ideals of our great party before the electorate”.
According to him, the four-years of Gov. Aliyu Wamakko's administration had brought about good governance, based on policies and programmes with direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Tureta asserted that the administration had executed more than 70 capital projects in the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, since its inception.
He expressed confidence that the electorate would re-elect the governor, to ensure continuity in the provision of dividends of democracy.
He appealed to party supporters not to sell their votes, “as it remained the needed tool to sustain the PDP-led government in the state”.
Tureta, who is also the state Commissioner for Education, appealed to the supporters to shun violence during the election, saying as democrats, all efforts must be made to promote peace in the state.?
