Multiple explosions had rocked several parts of Kano, Friday evening, leaving about 150 persons dead. The fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram, has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Sylva in the statement said: “We pray that God will give these families the courage and the fortitude to bear these losses. We mourn with them. We mourn with the Government and people of Kano State. They should all be consoled that God, the ultimate comforter, will stand by them in these trying times”.
On Akogwu who was gunned down while performing his official duty, Sylva lamented that “it is highly regrettable that what Akogwu got back for his love of country and duty was this brutal and callous end”.
