Against calls for military action against Boko Haram, the leader of Course 34 of Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State, Navy Commodore Ferguson Buvai, yesterday, urged the Federal Government to toe the path of peace and dialogue in handling the Boko Haram issue.
The Navy Chief who said this at a courtesy call on the Oba of Benin, Oba Erediawa, in Benin City, the Edo State capital observed that since Boko Haram sect had so far remained obscure, a path of peace had become inevitable. This was just as he stressed that this was his personal opinion.
He maintained that “the most worrisome aspect of the issue of this bombing, in my own assessment, is that in resolving the security challenge it poses, we must employ more than force.”
