The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) and Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) under the leadership of His Eminence, the Sultan, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has again condemned the? killings and wanton destruction to property taking place in Nigeria, describing? the incidence as a trying moment for Nigeria.
JNI termed the situation sad, disheartening and totally unacceptable to every right thinking human being as it robs life of its? sacredness.
In a press release on the security situation in the country, signed by the Secretary General of JNI, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, and issued to newsmen in Kaduna yesterday, it noted that the painful calamities were repercussions arising from Nigerians departure from the ways of Allah.
According to JNI, “It is evidently clear that Nigeria is passing through a trying moment of general insecurity of overwhelming magnitude, resulting in the wanton destruction of innocent lives and property and causing pains, sorrows and untold hardship”.
It called on security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the killings and bombings and make them face the full wrath of the law regardless of their status, so as to serve as deterrent to others.???
It also urged security agencies to take proactive measures to stop the re-occurrence of such acts before they happen in order to create a sense of security and safety in the citizenry.
The group? said vices like injustice, greed and corruption led to the anger and rancour which are undermining national security.
