The Anambra State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN),has endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan’s decision to restructure Nigeria Police as a measure to restore? sanity and security to the country.
In an interview with journalists, yesterday at Umunze, the State chairman of PFN, Bishop? David Eberechukwu, commended the President for the bold step taken in that direction and tasked the Chairman of the committee set up to restructure the Police, Mr. Parry Osayande, to solicit contributions from Nigerians before writing? his report so as to make it comprehensive.
PFN noted that the shake up in the Nigeria police was the first step towards the comprehensive reorganisation and repositioning of the Police to tackle the security challenges in the country.
Eberechukwu who is also the General Overseer of the Overcomers Holy Ghost Bible Ministries, said that the Nigeria Police could utilise more of public relations to restore the confidence Nigerians had for them in the past.?
“With these changes, there is need for the re-restructured team to come up with strategies to tackle the issue of Boko Haram because it is a challenge to everybody not only the Federal Government,” he said.
