Mr Steven Maitazuma, the new Plateau Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Wednesday assumed duty with a pledge to reduce road crashes in the state to the “barest minimum''.
Maitazuma, who took over from Mr Samuel Odukoya, solicited the cooperation and support of the officers and men of the command in ensuring safety on the roads.
“We must work as a team and keep Plateau accident-free.''
The sector commander pledged to build on the legacies of his predecessor, and advised the FRSC men and officers to continue to put in their best to meet the organisation's set goals.
Earlier, Odukoya, who was transferred to the Gwagwalada Zonal Command, had thanked the officers and men of the command for their loyalty, cooperation and support to him throughout his two years of service in Plateau.
He urged them to extend similar support to his successor.
