The Director-General of the pro-Seriake Dickson Volunteer Campaign Group in Bayelsa State, known as ‘Keme-to-Keme’, Dr. Stella Dorgu, yesterday explained that hundreds of volunteer groups, politicians and market women in the state have openly declared their support for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 11 governorship election because he is the candidate that can transform the state from its ghetto reputation.? Dorgu also revealed that the reports of volunteer groups involved in the governorship campaign of the PDP in the eight local government areas of the state showed huge acceptance of the PDP candidates due to the rising desire for change and development in the state.
She told newsmen yesterday in Yenagoa at the premises of the African Independent Television (AIT) after a tour of some communities in the capital City Council, that though the volunteer group, ‘Keme-to-Keme’,? was established to secure hundred per cent participation of the people of the state in the forthcoming governorship poll in the state, many reputable indigenes of the state are staking their integrity for the PDP candidates on the conviction that they will deliver on election promises.
