A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja adjourned till February 14, 2012, hearing of all the preliminary applications for a joinder filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a necessary party in the suit filed by a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyebode Makinde in Kogi State seeking to quash the inauguration of Idris Wada as the governor of the state due to the late service of the process on the plaintiff’s counsel.
Also, Wada had through his lawyer, Chris Uche (SAN) brought an application seeking for a stay of further proceeding on ground that the PDP had filed an application at the Supreme Court seeking the interpretation of the January 27 judgement which declared the tenure of ex-governor Ibrahim Idris over since May 29, 2011.
Consequently, the presiding judge, Justice Donaltus Okorowo, with the consent of the parties adjourned till February 14 for hearing of all the preliminary applications motion for joinder and motion for stay of further proceedings.
