Over one hundred and fifty organisations from within and outside the country have indicated? interest to participate in the 23rd Enugu International Trade Fair? which will take place from March 23 –April 2, President of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture(ECCIMA), Dr Theo Okonkwo has said.
Okonkwo who disclosed this at a press briefing on the forthcoming trade fair, said the chamber would provide two 500KVA generators to ensure? interrupted power supply during the exhibition.
According to him, the foreign countries likely to feature at the fair include South Africa, China, Vietnam, Korea, Ghana and Thailand? among others.
Dr. Okonkwo also stated that ECCIMA was aware of the insecurity? in the country occasioned by the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, assuring that ECCIMA had initiated? steps to ensure that security of lives and property was assured during the fair.
He said the organisation had contacted the police and other security agencies that would make sure that everybody going into the fairground was frisked.
