The Super Eagles on Tuesday departed the country aboard Air Nigeria for their international friendly with the Lone Star of Liberia.
The match will hold on Wednesday in Monrovia.
The team’s spokesman, Ben Alaiya, told NAN before their departure that the players were in high spirit.
“With the rigorous training the team has undergone for over a week now, nothing less than an outstanding performance is expected,’’ Alaiya said.
He expressed the hope that the team would have a good outing in both the international friendly and the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier later in the month.
The list of 20 players to feature in the match was released by the Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, on Monday.
