Those alleging that Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, have endorsed their aspiration for the chairmanship of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the party’s forth coming national convention have been described as desperate namedroppers.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP yesterday, PDP chieftain from Gombe State and the coordinator, BMT Group for National Chairman, Alh. Shuaibu Gara Gombe, said the group were amazed at the way and manner some aspirants for the PDP chairmanship race were engaging in brazen abuse of due process and party rules and regulations.
He said Governor Dankwambo would not rush into endorsing anyone as competence, capacity, antecedent and acceptability in the State would continue to become reference points in the build-up to the convention.
The PDP is expected to elect a new National Working Committee by March after its various conventions must have been held across the nation. The national convention of the party may hold on March 24.
