The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Kaduna branch? has donated foodstuff to the orphans and less privileged at the Jamm’aiyar Matan Arewa orphanage home in Kaduna.
Some of the items donated includes rice, indomie, golden mourn, peak milk, pampers, cornflakes, soaps, student mattresses, standing fan, groundnut oil, NAN 1 baby food, biscuit, milo, baby wipes and St. louis sugar among others.
Presenting the items, the CBN, Kaduna branch controller, Alhaji Muhammed Ibrahim Gusau, said the donation was not particularly coming from the CBN as an establishment but from the staff of the branch who have collectively tasked themselves to touch the lives of the less privileged.
He said, the essence of the donation was to impact positively on the less privileged and also give them a sense of belonging in the society.
“It started with alms collection where staff donates voluntarily, when we saw that it was not making too much impact, we decided to collectively task ourselves and contribute to purchase these things. This is one of the other places we are distributing gift items.
