Belgian Maurice Cooreman has been appointed as head coach/technical adviser of Warri Wolves, SuperSport.com can report.
According to a statement from the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) club, Cooreman will be resuming on Tuesday.
Cooreman has signed a deal to take charge of Warri Wolves for the rest of this season.
“The management of Warri Wolves FC have secured the services of Kaduna United tactician, Maurice Cooreman, to stand in for Paul Aigbogun and lead the club in the remaining part of the season.
“The experienced Belgian is expected to resume duties on Tuesday in Warri,” the statement from the Premier League club on Monday read.
Aigbogun ?said that he has mutually accepted to leave Wolves for “personal” reasons.
“I'm leaving (Wolves) but on personal grounds,” he said over telephone with SuperSport.com on Monday.
However, Wolves said the coach is returning to England “due to personal family commitments.”
Wolves stated that Aigbogun officially wrote to the club to “ask for a brief break.”
Aigbogun’s last duty at Wolves was Sunday's NPL game away to Enyimba, which the club lost 2-0.
Last season Aigbogun guided Warri Wolves to third place to earn them a ticket to vie for the 2012 Caf Confederation Cup.?
