Hundreds of women and youths on Monday, staged a two-hour protest in Kaura local government area of Kaduna state, following the killing of six villagers by unknown Gunmen in two separate communities in the state.
The protesters were demanding an end to the incessant killings by hit-and-run gunmen.
The State Governor, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa condemned the attacks, saying it was against his full peace initiative for the state.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the attackers stormed Budum Village in Piriga chiefdom, Saminaka, area of Lere local government in Kaduna state, killing four and injuring four others who are currently receiving treatment in Saminaka General Hospital.
Resident of the Area who spoke to LEADERSHIP said the gunmen stormed the village at midnight with sophisticated weapons and unleashed terror on the people.
