In a strict compliance with the directives of the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammad Abubakar, the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force,? have vacated all the road blocks within its command with the exception of those at Sango-Idi-Iroko road.
It would be recalled that the Police Public Relations Officer of the? command, ASP Adejobi Ademuyiwa,? had at a one-day workshop organised for all the ranks and files of the command, advised them to obey the? strict command of? the IGP order or face the music.
According to LEADERSHIP findings, some usual places in the state where road blocks were normally mounted had been vacated by the police while logs of woods had also been removed from the roads.
Those mounting road blocks on Sango-Idiroko road, LEADERSHIP learnt, were put there to maintain law and order along the international routes.
It would be recalled that as part of the security measures to forestall the increasing armed robbery attacks and extortion by bad eggs within the force, the IGP, Mohammad Abubakar had ordered for the dismantling of all road blocks across the country.
