The Supreme Court yesterday adjourned till May 25 judgement in an appeal by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Chief Ikechi Emenike, against Governor Theodore Orji also of the PDP.
Emenike had asked the apex court to set aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal that upheld the decision of Justice Gabriel Kolawole of a Federal High Court which declared Orji as the authentic candidate of the party in the April 26, governorship election.
The appellant had also listed PDP, its acting National Chairman, Dr. Bello Mohammed, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Orji as co-respondents.
