Benue state Governor Gabriel Suswam has attributed the non-payment of pension and gratuity allowances of Benue pensioners which has accumulated to the tune of N8 billion to the inability of the previous administration to ensure up-to-date payment, saying that he inherited the sum of N6billion.
Suswam, who disclosed this at Government House Makurdi while speaking with journalists, said that, the issue of pension and gratuity was a critical financial problem faced by the state and that he was finding best ways on how to resolving it.
