Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly have decried the poor security set up at the premises of the House Assembly complex.
Hon. Okechukwu Nwoke, representing Igbo-Etiti West constituency, who raised the issue, yesterday, during the sitting of the House, expressed regret that the premises of the House had become vulnerable to crime.
He disclosed that a car belonging to an assembly staff, which was packed in the premises was vandalised two days ago.
The lawmaker added that a huge sum of money was also carted away from the vehicle.
He said, “I want to express my concern over the vulnerability of this Assembly complex. It worries me that somebody parked a car there and unknown persons vandalised it and made away with some money.
“It is a very sad development that this place has become this vulnerable. There is need to look at the security arrangement we have in place here.
