The naira moved between gains and losses against the dollar.
The currency of Africa’s largest oil producer depreciated less than 0.1 percent to 157.3975 per dollar as of 2:41 p.m. on the interbank market in Lagos, the commercial capital. The naira strengthened as much as 0.3 percent today and has gained 3.1 this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
The naira has been “broadly stable,” Samir Gadio, an emerging-markets strategist in London, said by e-mail today.
Ghana’s cedi appreciated 0.1 percent to 1.7097 per dollar in Accra, the capital.
