Activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange(NSE)? continued on the green trajectory, following price gains? recorded by major blue chip companies causing market capitalisation to inch up further by N45billion.
Specifically, at the? close of trading yesterday,? the All-share Index of the? Exchange which measures the performance of quoted companies, gained above 113.08 basis points as equities recorded six days uninterrupted rally, to close at 21,181.42 from 21,068.34 recorded on Wednesday.
The market capitalisation of 186 first-tier equities appreciated by N45 billion from N6,639trillion to N6,684trilion.
Analysts attributed the persistent bullish run in the market to the attitude of investors who were taking position in anticipation of improved corporate performance for some companies that would release their financials soon.
