Former Ekiti State Governor Segun Oni has filed an appeal before the Supreme Court, asking it to set aside the judgments of the
Court of Appeal in Ilorin and Ado Ekiti which nullified his election and upheld the election of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The Court of Appeal in Ilorin had in its judgment of October 15, 2010, okayed Fayemi’s election.
Dissatisfied, Oni had urged the Court of Appeal in Ado Ekiti to review the judgment but the appellate court dismissed his application on the grounds of lack of merit.
