Chief Audu Ogbeh, one time presidential adviser on Agriculture and former Minister of Communications was among a high powered team that followed Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State to Egypt and Thailand during which agreements were reached on agro-allied technology and supply of equipments to revive irrigation, rice milling and fish farming? in Borno State.
Apart from Ogbeh, the team also comprised Managing Director of Chad Basin Development Authority,Dr Abubakar Iliya; one time Minister of State for Petroleum, Engineer Ibrahim Ali? a honourary adviser to Shettima on Agriculture.? Shettima’s Special Adviser on communications, Isa Gusau, said in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday that while in Cairo-Egypt, Shettima?? met with the Egyptian minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr Mohammad Reda Ismail; Dr Magdy Anwar, head of central administration of foreign agricultural relations before also meeting the Director General, Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture, seed and cotton production board.
The delegation also visited and held talks with officials at the Egyptian Cotton Research Institute; Agricultural Mechanization Station in Belbas Sharkia governorate.
