West Bromwich Albion’s Nigerian striker, Peter Odemwingie admitted on twitter on Sunday evening that the Baggies were disappointing in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Newcastle at the Hawthorns.
West Brom were taken apart in the first 40 minutes by a rampant Newcastle team that moved level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea after the victory. “It was a disappointing game today. We paid for a bad start. We will respond with a good performance in the next game,” Odemwingie said via Twitter.
Odemwingie, who has bagged nine goals this term in the English Premier League, thought he had scored in the 32nd minute after a cross from Marc-Antoine Fortune but the assistant referee had flagged the French striker for offside.
