The Rotary Club of Asokoro (District 9125) has conducted free HIV counselling and tests for students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
This is just as the club has donated slippers, clothes and other valuables to the Almajiri community in Keffi, which according to the president of the club, Nze Kanayo Chukwumezie, was meant to give a sense of belonging to every stratum of society, a hallmark of Rotary.
The president of the Rotaract Club of the institution, Hauwa Mamman, who spoke at the occasion, said the club embarked on the HIV sensitisation to remind the students of the university that fidelity remains the best preventive measure for the virus.
She thanked the Asokoro club for adopting the Rotaract club and called on students of NSUK to join it to push the goals of Rotary to the doorsteps of everybody.
