A DRUG-covered spoon was last night revealed to have been in cocaine addict Whitney Houston’s hotel suite when she was found dead in the bath.
The superstar was discovered by her personal assistant face down and lifeless in the water with her nose bleeding.
?
The grisly details of the 48-year-old superstar’s death were revealed as a full toxicology report was released in Los Angeles.
?
It ran to 45 pages — and detailed how white powder was discovered in her suite at the exclusive Beverly Hilton hotel in LA. It was later found to be cocaine.
?
An investigator wrote: “I collected a spoon with a white crystal-like substance in it, a rolled up piece of white paper from off the top of a counter.
?
“I also collected remnants of a white powdery substance from out of a drawer and from the bottom of a mirror in the same drawer in the bathroom counter.”
?
Spoons, mirrors and rolled-up paper are all items used by coke takers. The singer — whose death in February plunged the pop world into mourning — is believed to have slumped underwater after a heart attack triggered by her cocaine abuse.
?
The official cause of death was accidental drowning with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors.
?
The report states Whitney “possibly overdosed on a narcotic substance, prescription medications, over the counter medications and alcohol”.
?
Her history of cocaine snorting was evident from a “perforation of her posterior nasal septum”.
