About 14 ships laden with petroleum products are waiting to berth at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos at the weekend.
This was contained in the “Shipping Position”, a document of the NPA, released in Lagos on Friday.
It indicated that six of the ships were laden with petrol, while five others were laden with aviation fuel.
Three other ships are carrying bulk gas, kerosene and diesel.
NAN reports that 16 other ships, laden with steel products, fish and general cargo, are awaiting customs clearance to berth.
A total of 88 ships are expected to sail into the ports in April.
The contents of the ships are bulk urea, vehicles, bulk salt, steel products, containers, bulk sugar, fertiliser, containers, bulk wheat, rice and petroleum products.
