Murder: Police In Katsina Offers N250,000 Reward For Information

The Police in Katsina State on Friday offered to pay N250,000 reward for information on those who killed, Alhaji Kabir Yahaya, the Assistant Director, Finance of the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina.

This was contained in a statement issued in Katsina by the Police spokesman in the state, ASP Shehu Muhammad.

Yahaya was killed on April 4 at his residence in Sabuwar-Unguwa quarters of the metropolis.

“The command will treat such information with utmost confidentiality”, the statement assured.

In a related development, gunmen have shot dead one Alhaji Muhammad Sani in Batsari Local Government Area of the state.

An eyewitness told newsmen in Katsina on Friday that the victim was shot on Thursday in his shop at Batsari Market when a gang of about 11 gunmen stormed the town.

He said that Sani was rushed to Batsari General Hospital for medical attention, where he died.

The police spokesman confirmed the incident and said that efforts were being intensified to trace the culprits.

He urged the public to always expose the hideouts of criminals as part of measures to combat crimes in the state.
