The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has expelled the? chairman of the Bauchi State Chapter of the party, Alhaji Barau Ningi.
Alhaji Ningi was expelled for insubordination and intransigence, and for running a parallel executive that the party did not recognise.?
In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP, the party stated that Alhaji Ningi of the Bauchi chapter of the party was impugning on the authority of the leadership of the party in Bauchi State.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Engr Rotimi Fashakin said that the decision to expel Alhaji Ningi became imperative in the view of his persistent insubordination and intransigence exhibited.
Fashakin said: “As a disciplined political party, the national leadership of the party decided to expel Alhaji Barau Ningi of Bauchi State chapter of the party. The decision became imperative in? view of Alhaji Ningi’s persistent insubordination and intransigence at impugning the authority of the leadership of the party in Bauchi State.”
Fashakin further stated that the party’s stance on zero-tolerance for any act of indiscipline and insubordination cannot be faulted by any member. “We as a party hereby reiterate? the party leadership’s zero-tolerance for any act from its members capable of bringing the party to public opprobrium. However, the party remains irrevocably committed to the task of building a virile, political mass movement for entrenching real democratic values in the Nigerian nation. ”?
