The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has seized three oil tankers loaded with fuel lifted from a vandalised NNPC oil pipeline in Kogi.
A statement in Abuja by the Corps' Public Relations Officer, Mr Emmanuel Okeh, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the tankers were seized on Sunday at Gegu-Egba in Kotonkarfe Local Government Area of the state .
It said two of the tankers had been loaded with crude oil from the vandalised pipeline located some 20 km to Awawa NNPC Pumping Station in Abaji, FCT.
According to the statement, one of the loaded tankers, with registration number Plateau AA 417 MBD, had a Conoil logo, while the other said to belong to Masters Energy Oil and Gas Ltd, was registered Kaduna XA 719 KKM and labeled NNPC.
“The tankers had been moved to Awawa pumping station, Abaji by the Police Task Force on Pipeline Vandalism'', it said.(NAN)
