The Joint Security Task Force (JTF) on Tuesday raided a house suspected to be a hideout of Boko Haram members at Hayin Hotoro in Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The JTF spokesman, Lt Ikedichi Iweha disclosed this while conducting newsmen round the hideout.
He said two women and some children were rescued during the early morning operation.
“The prime suspect we were looking for was not arrested because he escaped before we stormed the house.
“But we have rescued two women and some children from the house before the operation was carried out by the operatives.''
According to him, the JTF operatives were able to storm the house following a tip-off.
He said during the raid, a room and parlour where Improvised Explosive Devices( IEDs) were being manufactured, was discovered.
Iweha listed items recovered to include five IED’s, assorted containers, liquid substances and a film clip of Late Osama Bin Laden? titled: ‘Osama Bin Laden, death at last.”
Iweha advised residents of the city to always report any suspicious persons or movement to the security agencies in order to restore peace to the city.
“The two women and children we have rescued have been taken away for investigation and the house will be brought down using military armoured carrier.'' (NAN).
