Nollywood star actress Genevieve Nnaji will star alongside Hollywood’s Chiwetel Ejiofor and British actress Thandie Newton in the upcoming movie ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’, a film adaptation of ?Chimamanda Adichie’s bestselling novel.

According to her publicists from VA-PR, Nnaji will play the role of Ms Adebayo, another professor who develops a flirtatious relationship with her colleague Mr Odenigbo (Ejiofor).

The Orange Prize-winning novel is set during the Biafran war of 1967 – 1970 in Nigeria and peruses the impact of the conflict through the story of a University Professor (Ejiofor) and his lover (Newton) her sister, a British ex-pat, and a young houseboy.

‘Half Of Yellow Sun’ is produced by BAFTA award-winning producer Andrea Calderwood (The Last King Of Scotland) and will be directed by debutant, Nigerian playwright Biyi Bandele.
