The Northern Socio-Cultural Oranization, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) yesterday said that the use of force will never solve the current insecurity ocassion by the activities of Boko Haram.
Reacting to the recent bomb blast on Newspapers Houses in Abuja and Kaduna, the ACF in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP SUNDAY stated that “since both terrorism and the use of force against same have never won any such war anywhere in the world ,it stands to reason to appeal that the perpetrators should? lay down their arms and embrace constructive engagements as the only viable option of addressing any perceived grievances.”
“More so that few things are less pleasing to God when innocent people are killed in the name of God or revenge of acts they know nothing about,” the statement signed by? ACF spokesman, Anthony Sany read.
“The heart-wrenching news of attacks of some media houses in Abuja and Kaduna two days ago came to ACF as a big surprise, precisely because without the roles of the media, however imperfect, the situation could be worst.
“Therefore,as a hedge against such unsavory prospect,ACF calls on the perpetrators of such dastardly acts to desist in the interest of the larger society.
“ACF also wishes to condole with the management of Thisday,The Sun and The Moment,as well as with others who lost loved ones and property, and pray God to make it possible for all affected to endure what have happened and to replace the losses many folds,” the statement further read.
