The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), yesterday, described the statement of the National Security Adviser, Gen Andrew Owoye Azazi (rtd) over the nation’s current security challenges as a moment of truth.
The party disclosed this to LEADERSHIP and described the statement as a culpability of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Boko Haram activities.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Engr Rotimi Fashakin, said that the truth is about the nation’s security problem which was now traceable to the PDP.
Fashakin said:”The statement by the National Security Adviser, Gen Andrew Owoye Azazi is eveidence of the culpability of PDP in the Boko Haram activities. It? typifies what happens when falsehood and subterfuge have run full course and there is no more hiding? the truth.
“When Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume was reported to have said that the Vice President, Arc Namadi Sambo was aware of his activities with Boko Haram, nobody probed deeper. What Gen Azazi said in Asaba merely confirmed the widely held notion that PDP is Boko Haram and Boko Haram is PDP. When you breed a monster, it would eventually consume you.”
The party said that the post election violence in parts of the North in April 2011 was as a result of the massive electoral fraud in the process.
“The post-election violence in Northern Nigeria last year, which started as popular and spontaneous uprising by the people against the electoral violence done to them was obfuscated with diversionary attack on churches and Southerners in a manner reminiscent of these Boko Haram activities. Indeed, this is a moment of truth,” Fashakin said.
The NSA, Gen Azazi at the South-South Economic Summit held recently at Asaba, the Delta State capital in his paper blamed the menace of bombing across the north on the zoning policy of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
