The police on Thursday in Lagos confirmed the arrest of a pastor (name withheld), for allegedly raping an 11-year old boy.
The spokesman of the state police command, SP Joseph Jaiyeoba, told newsmen in Lagos that the pastor was arrested on Tuesday.
He said that the FESTAC Division of the police, which was investigating the case, would soon charge the suspect to court.
A reliable police source, who sought anonymity, had told newsmen that the victim was allegedly intercepted by the pastor while going to the toilet.
The source said that the pastor allegedly locked the boy in his room where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of him.
The police source alleged that the boy inflicted injury on the pastor before he was able to free himself.
