Insecurity Hindering Business In Nigeria, Says Unity Bank

Managing Director of Unity Bank, Ado Wanka,? said in Kaduna on Saturday that the insecurity in the country was hampering business growth.

Wanka, who was represented by a director in the bank, Alhaji Gimba Hassan, made the statement at an event to mark Unity Bank's day at the ongoing 33rd Kaduna International trade fair.

He said incessant crises had greatly affected business growth in all spheres, and reiterated the commitment of the bank to partnering the private sector and farmers to grow the economy.

The managing director called on the government, particularly northern leaders, to tackle the insecurity problem to improve the economy of the region and nation’s in general.

He said the bank was offering a new service, Unity Holy Trip package, a savings account designed for prospective pilgrims to enable them get BTA allowance and 50 per cent credit facilities.

“We arrange visas, get them airline bookings on time, and accommodations with a low interest rate loan.''

Wanka said the bank has 244 branches across the country.
