The Kano State Police Command on Tuesday discovered three bombs planted at the old campus of Bayero University, Kano following a tip-off.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the bombs were found hidden at the faculty of law and faculty of sciences respectively.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Magaji Majia, confirmed the discovery of Improvised Explosive Devices in the university.
He said the police anti-bomb squad was deployed to the scene and it swiftly defused the explosives without recording any human casualty or material damage.
It will be recalled that gunmen threw similar bombs at Christian worshippers on the same campus on Sunday, April 29, killing 16 people.
An unexploded bomb planted in the Faculty of Science of the university was discovered by the Joint Security Task Force (JSTF) on Monday, April 30. (NAN)
