Following the flag-off of campaign of the Action Congress of Nigeria, (ACN), in the Edo Central Senatorial District (a zone believed to be a strong hold of the opposition PDP) the party’s leaders in the area have concluded that the zone would fall into the grips of the ruling ACN.
This indication emerged following a meeting of the leaders of the ACN in the area, and who unanimously agreed that their support for the governor was informed by the dividend of democracy the party had brought to Ishan land.
Leader of the party in Esan Central Local Area of Edo State, Chief Matthew Emiohe, in an interview with newsmen when the party kicked off the campaign in the district said that the thinking that ACN cannot win election in Ishan land was no longer tenable, adding that the physical transformation by the? present government was a clear evidence for victory.
According to Emiohe: “Things are definitely going to change in this election judging by what is going on, looking at the people that came from all parts of Ishan land, the turnout was a representation of what the governor is doing here and Edo State in general”.
