Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commisson (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and other anti-corruption agencies in Africa will be attending the Commonwealth Conference on anti-corruption between the May 21 and 25 in Zambia.
The conference which is co-hosted by the Commonwealth Secretariat in London and Governance and Institutional Development Division (GIDD) will enable anti-corruption agencies from all 19 Commonwealth Africa countries to share their strategies and innovative solutions in tackling corruption.
“The second Commonwealth regional conference for heads and deputy-heads of anti-corruption agencies is hosted by the Commonwealth Secretariat – through the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-operation – under the auspices of the Zambia Anti-Corruption Commission” said the Commonwealth in a press statement obtained by LEADERSHIP on Wednesday.
With this conference, the Commonwealth aims to build institutions by strengthening communities of practitioners, building professional networks and creating opportunities for countries to exchange solutions.
Governance and Institutional Development Division (GIDD) ?provides technical assistance to build and sustainably develop the capacity of public, private and civil society institutions, which have responsibilities to the public.

The conference will see delegates, who form the Practitioners’ Network of Heads of African Anti-Corruption Agencies – established at the first region.
