Mr. Hakeem Belo-Osagie, the chairman of Etisalat Nigeria, will on Thursday unveil Metropole magazine before the crème of the Nigerian society at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
Among those expected to grace the event are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, Mutawalli of Borno who will serve as the chairman, special guest of honour and chief host respectively.
A statement Lead Consultant, Think-Tank Consult Waziri Adio added that Thee Minister for Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, is scheduled to discuss the future of the Federal Capital Territory as the Keynote Speaker.
Also expected at the event are ministers, members of the National Assembly, heads of government agencies and departments, members of the civil society and diplomatic missions, leading journalists, and business leaders.
Metropole is designed to showcase the people and the city of Abuja and has as its target audience as the political, business, diplomatic and policy elites of this emergent and enchanting metropolis.
It is an all-gloss, full-colour, lifestyle magazine cum city-guide exclusively devoted to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital territory. It is published by SW4 Media Limited, which is led by Waziri Adio, a multiple award-winning journalist and former columnist with Thisday newspapers.
The magazine is targeted at the business, political and policy elite of the capital city and is designed to document the nuances of life as lived in the city and expected to serve as a guide to residents and visitors on how to make the most of their time in the city.
The public presentation, which is an invitation only event, will start with a black carpet by 5pm. It will also feature performances AMEMUSO, an Abuja-based choral group, Shayne and White Nigerian.
