The National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said that it is targeting youths in its effort to eradicate fake and substandard regulated products in the country.
To achieve this, the agency said it would use the NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club (NCSC) as one of its special public enlightenment strategies in order to enthrone quality culture, while employing the use of cutting edge technology to track counterfeiters.
Director-General of NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii stated this in Calabar while speaking at the 9th annual award ceremony for winners of the agency’s organised annual secondary schools competition under the NCSC programme.
Orhii, who was represented by a deputy director of NAFDAC, Mr. Kayode Fagboyo enjoined the youths to be agents of change by propagating the right virtues that can lead to behavioural change.
