Alhaji Inuwa Garba, the Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, said on Wednesday that the House had passed 23 bills.
The speaker, who is also the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of Nigeria, said this in Gombe in an interview with newsmen.
“From the starting point to date, at least 23 bills that were received were successfully passed into law,’’ he said.
Garba, who praised his colleagues, noted that the process of law making had improved from the National Assembly down to the State Houses of Assembly.
“We have at least 20 resolutions in the Gombe State Assembly and five pending bills.
“I believe we are going to make serious resolutions that will complement what we did in the last one year.
“We have done wonderfully well in terms of deliberations and passing bills into law,” he said.? (NAN)
