The National Secretary of ?New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Mr Agbo Gilbert on Thursday said that the party’s major commitment was to?improve?the standard of education for?youths.
?Agbo?made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
“The New Nigeria People’s Party has a concept of new Nigeria as the name implies?in terms of skill acquisition for the Nigerian youths?as this will ensure?self reliance.
“Most of our youths are unemployed, it is because they are idle that they engage in various atrocities but once they are engaged there will be less criminal activities?in the country,’’ he said.
Agbo said that the youths?should support?the party in the?struggle for a new Nigeria as they constitute a significant portion of the populace who facilitate?the nation's?development.
He said that the party's drive for a national spread?had been whittled down by problem?of?logistics.
“It is not as if we are not doing enough but our problem is logistics?but with time Nigerians will get to appreciate the beauty of multiple parties in the future.''
He said that the country needed?more than 250 political parties in the light of the density of?population.
Agbo said that the impact of the party?had not been?felt due to the?problem of logistics,?saying?the party's efforts?had also been?limited?by?available resources. (NAN)
