The Chairman Niger State Action Congress of Nigeria ( ACN ),Captain Abubakar Isah Mokwa has said that the planned merger between the party and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), was the only way? the needed change within the nation’s polity could be achieved.
Isah who spoke to journalists yesterday in Minna said that the nation’s woes could only be addressed if a political party that depends on election rigging was removed from power by the opposition.
He said that the state chapter of ACN was ready for the merger if the talks between the two leaders of the parties work out as anticipated.
The chairman noted that even before the merger talks the party and CPC had been having a very good working understanding because? it was obvious that such understanding was the only way to save Niger State from the clutches of the ruling PDP.
According to him, the ACN was? regularly talking with other political parties in the state and all the credible opposition parties in the state were ready to? form a formidable front to confront the political challenges of the state.
