Imo State chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Chief K.I Onuoha, has faulted the style of leadership adopted by the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Onuoha stated that the governor’s style of leadership was strange to the people of Imo State, with special emphasis on the proposed community government council.
He rated the governor low in terms of human development, adding that paying a lot of emphasis on infrastructural development without the welfare and security of the people of the state amounted to a wasteful venture.
The NULGE boss pointed out that since 2008,local government workers have not been promoted, just as he also lamented the unpaid gratuities and leave allowances of civil servants in the state.
While condemning the inability of the state government to conduct elections into the local government councils in the state, he also frowned at the little resources given to the transition committee chairmen as allocation.
